When joining the VRG group filled with spirit, however joyous that spirit might be, I found that there was something missing. I started to think back to my days in China, and what we had there, and I finally found the missing link – theater. In year three we have a chance to be in the musical, which is a great opportunity, for those good fortuned enough to have AMAZING sining voices. But I think there are a lot of talented actors at our school who would jump at the chance to show off their talents who are afraid to do so because they are simply tone-deaf. So then I came up with the idea to start a theater group at VRG. My 100 p project would be to set up one of my own plays at a smaller theater stage somewhere in Stockholm. The whole point of my project is to engage people at school to do some fun after school activities that really opens your mind to other possibilities.
I am leaving VRG for at least one year between 2011/2012 and taking a gap year, so these ideas are just preliminary, and that should be taken into account when reading the plan. The end product would be the big theater production, but there are many steps leading up to the finished product. The place to start would be to read books on how to set up plays and on directing. This is very important since I've never actually done anything like this on my own before, and I will be leading a group of amateur actors inot this whole project.
When that is done I would have to start to engage the students at VRG. I'm considering starting a theater committee which would be the projects face for the school. In order to complete a who play I would need a few actors to work with, so I'm hoping some students are willing to express themselves through acting for a little while. Once I've gathered my group of actors I would have to first decide who gets which parts of the play and also how much we have to rehears. This is probably the most important part of the process and without it the whole project would fail.
Some other things I have to take into consideration is:
How to put the idea on the market and finance the whole project.
To find a place to present the show at.
To create the costumes.
To create the set.
What would be fun is to create an UF företag in order to finance the project. The mix between the aesthetics and the economical aspect would be quite helpful and I would learn a lot from it. The final product would also probably be a lot better.
I've considered doing all of it for charity. I would be wonderful to give back if the play actually makes any money. However this is just an idea and I don't know how it works with UF and the financial aspect of it all. But I will have to look into the details.
As I said before, this is a plan for the future, and it might not be fully developed yet, but it's a rough draft at least.

Där har ni det. Det är fortfarande ganska luddigt, men det är i alla fall klarare än vad det var i måndags.
